Traditions Seniors Housing

ABOUT traditions

Traditions was launched in 2006 creating strategic partnerships with industry leaders completing its first facility in Collingwood Ontario while partnering with Chartwell Seniors Housing, - Georgian Traditions. Followed by Muskoka Traditions in Huntsville, again with Chartwell, the Traditions brand became synonymous with quality care in a unique and improved residential environment.  Traditions of Durham followed with over 140 independent and assisted seniors housing units in Oshawa which became the next addition to the Traditions Seniors Housing development portfolio. Traditions evolved further partnering developments with Sienna Living (Specialty Care), Baybridge Seniors Housing (Amica), and Seasons Retirement.

In 2018 Traditions began to develop a new seniors housing initiative designed to bring a more residential environment to today’s seniors as well as a more affordable rental program that allows residents to choose services on an a la carte basis. This new program would ensure seniors would not be overcharged for their occupancy costs, all while living in an entirely new environment designed to lessen the challenges with relocation and community engagement. Our new buildings contain fully self-contained living units for all residents regardless of their care needs including ranges, dishwashers and washers, and dryers, elements not found in industry-standard specifications. Buildings feature underground parking for residents with vehicles, electric charging stations, pet spas, indoor pools, and spas, sports areas, piano/wine bars, pubs, cafes, outdoor amenities, valet, concierge, and numerous dining options that will remind you of fine resort-style living. In addition, Traditions offers its community complimentary gathering space for the local resident, where they can enjoy live entertainment, presentations, or other community gathering purposes.

The Traditions seniors model remains the operating brand name of the projects in Collingwood, Huntsville, and Oshawa and has initiated 13 seniors housing projects that have been developed, built, and currently providing housing to over 2000 Ontario seniors.
